Avoid using this reference electrode with the following: NH3<\/sub>\u00a0buffers, sulfides, perchlorates, non-aqueous\/organic solvents, and alkaline solutions stronger than 0.1M OH–<\/sup><\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n\tThe standard single junction silver\/silver chloride (Ag\/AgCl) reference electrode is filled with 4M KCl with AgCl solution. \u00a0The reference electrode fits through the standard 14\/20 ground glass joints found on our standard electrochemical cells<\/a>. \u00a0A PTFE\u00a0sleeve (included) facilitates mounting the reference electrode in the joint.<\/p>\n The junction at the lower end\u00a0of the reference electrode is a ceramic frit that should be kept wet at all times. \u00a0If frit dries out, soak overnight in distilled water. \u00a0More information about care, storage, and usage can be found in the product information sheet, which you can download from the Documentation tab.<\/p>\n A small vial containing 4M KCl electrode filling solution is included with\u00a0the single junction Ag\/AgCl reference electrode.<\/p>\n View SDS Forms for reference electrodes and electrolyte filling solutions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
