E7R9 Series Fixed-Disk ThinGap Rotating Ring-Disk Electrode, Glassy Carbon (GC) Disk, Platinum (Pt) Ring, PTFE separator/shroud

Part Number
AFE7R9GCPT

The E7R9 Series Fixed-Disk Rotating Ring-Disk Electrode (RRDE) tip is often used for electrocatalyst-based research such as oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) experiments. This high quality, precision RRDE tip is Fixed-Disk style, which means the disk electrode is fixed in position and cannot be removed or changed. The ring electrode is also permanently-fixed into position and cannot be removed. The RRDE tip features a sub-millimeter gap between the disk and ring and has a high collection efficiency. The E7R9 series has a thin PTFE separator between disk and ring, and a PTFE shroud. This tip threads into compatible shafts and is not designed to be used by itself. Many other configurations of RRDE tips are also available.

Maximum Rotation Rate: 3000 RPM

Never exceed maximum rotation rate when working with rotating electrodes.

Maximum Rotation Rate

All rotating electrodes, including RDE, RRDE, and RCE, have an assigned maximum rotation rate. The maximum rotation rate is specific to each electrode series. Do not exceed the maximum rotation rate when working with rotating electrodes.

Shafts sold separately.

Given the wide range of electrodes we offer, where each series requires one of several rotating shafts, shafts must be purchased separately for the MSR and MSR evo rotators. Consult the RDE, RRDE, and/or RCE specifications to learn which shaft is compatible.

Compatibility Notice

This product is only compatible with the MSRX (AFMSRX), MSR (AFMSRCE), MSR evo (AFMSR24), and WaveVortex 10 (AF01WV10) electrode rotators.

Thermal Stability Range: 10°C - 25°C

Electrode damage may occur at temperatures beyond recommended range. This range is provided for electrodes with PTFE or PCTFE shrouds.
