The Proteus Alpha series cells are a flexible electrochemical cell series that enables you to install flat samples (e.g., flat metals with and without coatings, for example, for corrosion analysis) and/or quartz windows (in the case of a photoelectrochemical cell setup) across either side of an electrochemical cell where counter and reference electrodes are in contact with solution. Sometimes this cell is called a “flat cell” or a “paint test cell,” but it’s applications are wide and numerous. The flat samples seal against the end plates, where they interface with large O-rings to make a tight seal. Each end assembly is machined from PET and fastened with large, sturdy metal hardware and support plates. There are two end plates included with the Proteus Alpha series cells.
