Proteus Alpha Series Electrode Connector, Green Jack
For the electrochemical corrosion analysis of flat, often coated, samples, you may need to interface the material to the potentiostat (where it acts as an electrode). For conductive substrates, this is most often achieved by making backside contact. In this configuration, flat conductive samples (whose solution-facing interface may have been modified) are installed on one (or both) ends of the cell, additional electrodes as required are placed in the cell through access ports, and electrochemical measurements are made on these flat samples. Scientists often use such a cell to evaluate the corrosion resistance of coatings (paints and polymers), or to easily create a photoelectrochemical anode or cathode where there may be an electrocatalyst modifed on the solution-facing side of the flat substrate. In this configuration,this electrode connector is ideal. This green connector is included with any of the Proteus Alpha series cells.
