This standard size silver pseudo reference electrode kit is new and repalces an older version. This version uses Varapor100 porous glass frits and heat-shrink tubing to create a fritted tube, as compared to the older version that used an embedded ceramic frit.
This silver pseudo reference electrode kit is ideally used with Standard volume electrochemical cells. The low cost of these reference electrode kits make them ideal for any application, especially for use with non-aqueous electrochemistry. This electrode kit is most commonly constructed into a reversible chemistry reference electrode using different redox species, electrolytes, and solvents. In this way, it can be compatible with aqueous and/or non-aqueous solvent systems. More information on construction of a non-aqueous reference electrode is found below in the documents section. These non-aqueous reference electrode kits include: the cap assembly (Ag wire, PTFE cap, connection pin), glass tube, heat-shrink tubing, Varapor 100 porous glass frit, and a 14/20 adapter for the reference electrode body.
