These single-piece, Fixed-Disk RDEs are ideal for applications requiring a high rotation rate.  The shaft and disk electrode are permanently attached, producing a precision, balanced RDE with a PEEK shroud useful for a variety of applications.  Our most popular disk insert RDEs can be found here, including glassy carbon, platinum, and gold.

MAXIMUM ROTATION RATE: 7000 RPM — Never exceed maximum rotation rate when working with rotating electrodes.

TEMPERATURE RANGE: 10°C – 80°C — Electrode damage may occur at temperatures beyond recommended range.

CHEMICAL INCOMPATIBILITIES: Concentrated Strong Acids — Damage or discoloration may occur.

Polishing PEEK-shrouded electrodes is best accomplished using a mechanical polisher.  Other shroud materials are available upon request.

This series of RDE tips may only be used with MSR rotators.

PEEK has different wetting properties than PTFE.  It is possible that some solvents (inks) may not stay on the surface of the disk electrode during casting.  In these cases, users may consider our PTFE option of this same tip, recognizing the temperature limitation for PTFE-based tips!

These single-piece, Fixed-Disk RDE tips are ideal for applications requiring a high rotation rate.  The shaft and disk electrode are permanently attached, producing a precision balanced RDE useful at rotation rates as high as 7000 RPM.  The disk electrode can be made from a variety of metals, alloys, and steels, and the shroud is fabricated from chemically-resistant PEEK.  Our most popular disk insert RDEs can be found here, including glassy carbon, platinum, and gold.  This tough and chemically resistant shroud material is ideal for applications where the RDE tip undergoes routine thermal cycling.  Other disk materials are available upon request.  The recommended temperature range for these electrodes is between 10°C – 80°C, and they are only compatible with Pine Research’s MSR rotator.
