E5 Fixed-Disk RDE Tips PTFE – Other Metals

MAXIMUM ROTATION RATE: 2500 RPM -- Never exceed maximum rotation rate when working with rotating electrodes.

This series of RDE tips may be used with the WaveVortex 10, MSR, and ASR electrode rotators.

These tips are designed for our customers who frequently switch between RDE and RRDE tips.  Because our E5 Series RDE tips are designed with the same thread connections as our E6 and E7 Series RRDE tips, all three tip designs (E5, E6, and E7) can be used with the same shaft.  Simply screw the tip on to the shaft, and it is ready to be rotated.  This shaft and tip RDE design allows you to use multiple RRDE and RDE tips with the same shaft.  These tips are most commonly used with the AFE6MB shaft (for the MSR rotator) or the AFE6A shaft (for the ASR rotator).  Designed for advanced electrochemical experiments (e.g., fuel cell electrocatalyst screening), these RDE tips provide the platform you need to accomplish your research goals.   Our most popular disk insert RDEs can be found here, including glassy carbon, platinum, and gold.

TEMPERATURE RANGE: 10°C – 25°C — Electrode damage may occur at temperatures beyond recommended range.

This series of RRDE tips may be used with the MSR and ASR rotators.

These tips are designed for our customers who frequently switch between RDE and RRDE tips.  Because our E5 Series RDE tips are designed with the same thread connections as our E6 and E7 Series RRDE tips, all three tip designs (E5, E6, and E7) can be used with the same shaft.  Simply screw the tip on to the shaft, and it is ready to be rotated.  The disk electrode can be made from a variety of metals, alloys, and steels, and the shroud is fabricated from chemically-resistant PEEK.  Our most popular disk insert RDEs can be found here, including glassy carbon, platinum, and gold.  Designed for advanced electrochemical experiments (e.g., fuel cell electrocatalyst screening), these RDE tips provide the platform you need to accomplish your research goals.

Compatible shafts include AFE6MB and AFE6M for use with the MSR rotatorAFE6A and AFE5A for use with the ASR rotator, and AFE5F for non-rotating applications.  The E5 Series RDE tips are also compatible with the WaveVortex 10 Electrode Rotator.
