The WaveNow Series includes several potentiostat models listed below, all of which feature an HD-15 cell port.
- WaveNow Wireless Potentiostat
- WaveNowXV USB Potentiostat
- WaveNow USB Potentiostat
- WaveNano USB Potentiostat
There are a variety of cell cables available for this series of potentiostats.
Before ordering a cell cable from the table below, read the cable description carefully to ensure the cable is compatible with the potentiostat.

The color scheme for all standard WaveNow cell cables is described below.
- RED – primary working electrode (drive)
- ORANGE – primary working electrode (sense)
- GREEN – counter electrode (drive)
- WHITE – reference electrode (sense)
- GRAY – instrument chassis
- BLACK – DC common
Each cell cable offers two lines which “drive” the current between the working electrode and the counter electrode. There are also two “sense” lines which measure the potential difference between the working electrode and the reference electrode.
Note that the working electrode sense line and the working electrode drive line are often shorted together at a point near the electrochemical cell. This is easily accomplished by stacking the red banana plug into the back of the orange banana plug.
Each cable offers some means of making a “ground” connection if needed. Some cable designs offer a connection to DC common (black banana plug) while other cables with additional shielding offer a connection to the instrument chassis (gray banana plug).
