These LowProfile reference electrodes are designed for use with the Honeycomb Spectroelectrochemical Cell Kit (and other Low Volume Cells).  The low cost of these reference electrodes also make them ideal for any application.  This non-aqueous reference electrode has an Ag wire and no filling electrolyte.  The outer diameter of the electrodes is 3.4 mm, its overall length is approximately 62 mm, and the electrical connection is made via a 1.0 mm diameter pin at the top end of the electrode.  This pin can accept an alligator clip or a small cable with an appropriately sized "pin and socket" connector.

The frit at the bottom is a porous glass material called Varapor100 (a replacement to the now-discontinued Vycor), which is a glass frit containing pores of around 10 nm in diameter.  This glass frit is fixed in place via FEP heat shrink tubing, and can be removed and replaced with a new glass frit if needed.  Porous glass frit replacement kits are available and can be purchased separately.

Two different lengths are available for these LowProfile reference electrodes.  The standard version, which is overall 93 mm long, is intended for use with our Screen-Printed Electrode Cells and Low Volume Cells.  The shorter version, which is overall 62 mm long, is intended for use with our Honeycomb Spectroelectrochemical Cell.
