Pt Counter Electrode

Platinum counter electrode, shown in glass isolation tube (AFCTR5).

These electrodes are designed for general use, corrosion analysis and Pine’s low volume cell series. The coiled platinum counter electrode design features a coiled wire (99.9% pure) that is mounted at the end of the chemically-resistant epoxy rod. A fritted glass tube isolates the counter electrode from the main test solution. The Graphite Counter Electrode Assembly features a 0.250″ x 12″ graphite rod seated inside a fritted glass tube by means of a 7mm OD 14/20 PTFE adapter. The fritted glass tube isolates the counter electrode from the main test solution.

LowProfile

LowProfile Pt Counter Electrode

LowProfile Pt counter electrode.

The LowProfile Platinum counter electrode was designed for use with the Pine Research Low Volume Cell Series. The Platinum counter electrode features a 0.5 mm OD Pt wire shrouded in PTFE, sealed in an epoxy tube, and a gold plated pin for easy connection to a potentiostat. The electrode shroud is 7 mm OD x 65 mm long. Electrical connection is made via a 1.0 mm diameter pin at the top end of the electrode. This pin can accept an alligator clip or a small cable with an appropriately sized “pin and socket” connector.
