Hashemi Lab Award-Winning Research Honored at Pittcon

According to the NIH National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences, translation is the process of turning observations in the laboratory, clinic, and community into interventions that improve the health of individuals and the public — from diagnostics and therapeutics to medical procedures and behavioral changes¹. Some of the most successful translational science has stemmed from multi-disciplinary research collaborations. Consider sensor technology, which draws from the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, materials science, medicine, public health, engineering, environmental science, and more. Researchers often employ electrochemistry in their sensor design due to the analytical strength and sensitivity of electrochemical measurements. The exciting research from the Parry Hashemi lab at the University of South Carolina provides an excellent example of translational science at work.

Come see Pine Research at SERMACS 2017 in Charlotte!

This year, the Southeastern Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society (SERMACS) is being held in Charlotte, NC. Pine Research, located in Durham, NC, is excited to be exhibiting at SERMACS 2017 and we look forward to meeting many chemists from our local area!

Pine Research Exhibits at Midwest Regional ACS Meeting

MWRM2017 Pine Research enjoys spending time in the Midwest – especially this time of year (before it starts snowing). Last week we were in Illinois for the MACTLAC conference, and this week, we are very excited to see the Midwest chemists at the Midwest Regional ACS Meeting, at the University of Kansas in Lawrence.
